Categories: General | Tags: None
To celebrate the peak oyster season, Loch Fyne Restaurants has asked 21 famous names including the likes of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, Michelin-starred Chef Michel Roux Jr and Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud, just one question: “How do you like to eat your oysters?”
With so many different ways to enjoy an oyster - fresh from the sea (raw), angels on horseback (oysters wrapped in bacon), Rockefeller (oysters topped with breadcrumbs, with a rich butter sauce, then baked) to name but a few, Loch Fyne quizzed a mixture of high flying individuals, ranging from top chefs to TV personalities; novelists to musicians; sportsmen to businessmen; on their oyster dish of choice.
Responses were extremely varied, with Ronnie Wood preferring them to be “As small as possible, raw and with a squirt of lemon”, while Chef Thomasina Miers likes hers served “In a baguette with lashings of chipotle mayo and crispy Cos lettuce, fresh coriander and a squeeze of lime”.
Loch Fyne is internationally renowned for its irresistible oysters, which are famous all over the world, with more than two million being harvested in its fresh waters every year.
