Comedian Jo Brand is looking to net fishermen
Categories: General | Tags: None
News is that the UK’s favourite funny woman, Jo Brand, will travel across the UK exploring our relationship with water for a new series, Jo Brand’s Big Splash, to reveal a compelling and fun portrait of Britain as seen from the water.
Jo has always been fascinated by fishing as the most dangerous profession in the UK. She is particularly interested in fishermen’s superstitions, especially surrounding swimming. Jo herself is a keen swimmer and was intrigued to hear that many fishermen aren’t the strongest of swimmers. Now she wants to find out more. So if you’re interested in taking part in the programme, know of any fishermen/women who might be perfect for the show then why not call for more information?
The five-part series, produced by What Larks Productions and Dog House Media, was commissioned for UKTV’s Dave channel and will be broadcast later this year.
