In celebration of seafood
It promised to be a fun-packed week and indeed it was! Celebrations during the Seafood Festival, in support of the RNLI, saw everything from themed evenings and charity fund-raising events, to school children visiting us for some fishy lessons!
Diners at Wokingham enjoyed a Caribbean night with live reggae and soul music, while over in Oxford the GM and Head Chef set up a fresh fish market to raise funds. It was hats off to Guildford as waitress, Virna, designed and created five fabulous hats which had bids rolling in for the RNLI charity. The team’s other exciting ideas included international night, an opera evening and a charity football match.
The money raised will help complete the building of the Loch Fyne lifeboat for the RNLI. The cash is still coming in and being counted so we hope to announce a fantastic amount very shortly.
