It’s not just restaurant diners that find the lure of Loch Fyne mussels hard to resist: an inquisitive baby seal has been paying regular visits to the mussel farm workers in Cairndow. Affectionately named Ron (short for his Gaelic name Rόn glas) the little creature has been following their boat onto the shore and then up the beach. Much to the disappointment of the farm workers Ron has recently lost interest and returned to the depths of the Loch. Should he start ‘musseling’ in again, we’ll be shore to share it with you.
